Typography

Corporate font

For all our brands of the Coroplast Group the corporate font is Helvetica Neue by Linotype. It is used on all of our designed and printed media.

Correspondence typeface and MS Office applications

The system font Arial (10 pt) is used in typical MS Office applications, e.g. Word. In e-mail correspondence the font size 11 pt is used. A Heiti typeface should always be used for Chinese. Arial Nova Light should always be used for headlines in PowerPoint presentations.

Typeface for office.

Application for print products

Font

Headlines are always set in Medium. Continuous texts are in the Light font style, subheadings are set in Roman. These two standard font styles can be supplemented individually by italic cuts or other font sizes. The following table defines minimum sizes. It is important to ensure that the headline and flow text are scaled in accordance with the recommended proportions and a balanced ratio. For example, texts can be set transversely or with a letter spacing of 10 pt. Preferably, however, continuous text without a change of letter spacing is used for the sake of a uniform written image.

Font Color

The color of headlines and flow texts is black.
Exception: Text is on a black background or dark images, in which cases the font color is changed to white. Red can also be used for partial highlighting for sublines or table headers, or for typographic design of texts.

Headline font sizes

We design texts not only in terms of content, but also visually. Depending on the communication medium and target, the font sizes of a headline vary (while maintaining the recommended proportions -> see figure).

Tables

Structure

Tables follow a uniform structure. Here, a distinction is made between the header and the body cells below.

Header

The header is separated from the lower part of the table by means of a red line, 1 pt thick, with the top of the table remaining open. The cell contents of the header are also accentuated in red and in the defined, thicker font face.

Body cells

Each of the following rows is separated by a black hairline (0.25 pt). Such a hairline also closes the bottom of the table. The individual columns are also separated from the head to the foot of the table by means of a black hairline. However, the table remains open at the sides.

Distances between the table cells

Top/bottom: 1.25 mm left/right: 2 mm

Alignment

As a rule, text in the table cells is left-aligned. In the case of columns containing decimals, care should be taken that all decimal points (or decimal commas) are aligned correctly.

Lines

If lines are used to structure texts or contents, these should generally be in 1 pt (red) or 0.25 pt (black) too.

Enumerations

For all brands and media of the Coroplast Group, subtle arrows and so-called "glyphs" (Unicode 203A) in the Helvetica Neue LT Pro Light font will be used for the use of lists in the body text. The distance to the text below is 1 square (approx. 3 mm for DIN A4). The color scheme can vary (e.g., black or red).
